Abrasive Sands

For your right abrasive grit choices

You can get support from us.

Granules used in cleaning, rust removal, polishing, roughening and surface treatment applications are called abrasive sands or blasting sands. Choosing the right abrasive grits will save you time and money, while increasing the life, durability and quality of your products.

GARNET

Garnet is a naturally occurring abrasive mineral. It has a soft natural structure and belongs to the garnet stones group. Garnet sands are monocrystalline, with unbroken grains, irregular forms and naturally ground edges. It is an inert mineral and is environmentally friendly. In metal surface treatments, it also gives a shine to the blasted material. You can get stock and price information along with the grain size or code for the garnet sandblasting sand you need.

GLASS BALL

It is produced by sieving glass sphere sand, alkali, lime and glass fragments, baking them and giving them a ball form. It does not contain any minerals and iron. It has a low abrasive effect and is ideal for light cleaning. While cleaning the sandblasted material in metal and aluminum surface treatments, it gives a shiny surface. You can get stock and price information along with the grain size or code for the glass sphere blasting sand you need.

BROWN ALUMINUM OXIDE

Brown aluminum oxide is an abrasive grit belonging to the electrocorundum group. It is produced from calcined bauxite as reduced molten, by melting it at high temperature in electric arc furnaces. It does not contain iron in its content. It is of high hardness. It has a structure that can withstand high pressure and is also resistant to abrasion. You can get stock and price information along with the grain size or code for the brown aluminum oxide sandblasting sand you need.

WHITE
ALUMINA

White aluminum oxide is an abrasive grit belonging to the electrocorundum group. It is produced by melting clay in electric arc furnaces. It does not contain iron in its content. It has a structure that can withstand high pressure and is also resistant to abrasion. As with glass ball sand, it gives a shiny surface while cleaning the sanded material in metal and aluminum surface treatments. You can get stock and price information along with the grain size or code for the white aluminum oxide sandblasting sand you need.

STEEL
GRANULAR

Steel granules are one of the most preferred abrasive materials for surface treatment cleaning and roughening. It is especially preferred in turbine machines and high-pressure sandblasting cabins and sandblasting boilers. You can get stock and price information along with the grain size or code for the steel granular blasting sand you need.

STEEL
GRIT

Steel grits are produced by breaking the steel ball after heat treatment during the production phase. It is a more durable and stronger abrasive than steel balls. The surface treatment they are applied to gives a sharper roughness profile, resulting in a longer adhesion of the protective coating to the surface and effective removal of heavy paints. You can get stock and price information along with the grain size or code for the steel grit blasting sand you need.

SILICON
CARBIDE

Silicon carbide is the third hardest mineral in the world, after diamond and boron carbide.  It is produced in electrical resistance furnaces at high temperatures with its silicon and carbon composition. In addition to being used as abrasive sand, it is also used in the production of non-slip, abrasion-resistant and conductive floor coverings .  Silicon carbide, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, glass, rubber, etc. used in the processing of materials. It is widely used as an additive to refractories and in the metallurgical industry. You can get stock and price information along with the grain size or code for the silicon carbide blasting sand you need.

PLASTIC ABRASIVES

Plastic grits are ideal abrasives to create a clean surface without sticking to the surface. Therefore, they are in an advantageous position compared to other abrasive sands. They can be used for many purposes such as cleaning, removing paint, activating the surface, and removing burrs. Type A, Type 2, Type 3 and Type 5 variants are available. You can get stock and price information along with the grain size or code for the plastic abrasive blasting sand you need.
