GARNET

Garnet is an abrasive mineral that occurs naturally. It has a soft natural structure and belongs to the garnet group of stones. Garnet sands are monocrystalline, with unbroken grains, irregular shapes, and naturally ground edges. It is an inert mineral and environmentally friendly.

Technical Specifications:

  • Natural crystal structure → unbroken, intact grains

  • Grain shape: irregular / naturally fractured

  • Abrasiveness: Medium to high (suitable for light to medium surface treatments)

  • Dustiness: Relatively low — works without much mess

  • Environmental/surface compatibility: Inert mineral, does not contaminate metal surfaces.

  • No risk of environmental or chemical reactions due to being a natural mineral

  • Light shine and clean surface after sandblasting on metal surfaces

  • Gentle yet effective cleaning/roughening of wood, aluminium, light metal alloys and sensitive surfaces
