BASALT

Basalt is a natural abrasive widely used in the sandblasting industry due to its high hardness and strength. This volcanic material is prepared to the desired grain size through crushing and screening. Its dust-free structure, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness make it particularly preferred for surface roughening and cleaning applications.

  • Hardness: 6–7 Mohs

  • Density: 2.90 – 3.10 g/cm³

  • Crispness: Low

  • Grain Shape: Sharp fracture, semi-angular

  • Contamination / Metal Content: Very low

  • Working Cycle: 5–10 repetitions (depending on application conditions)
